The Mobile Powership will be the world’s first floating electricity generating station powered by LNG, capable of  travelling from one place to another to supply power wherever it’s needed. Not only is the PowerShip a smart solution to the surging (and often unmet) demand for electricity in developing countries, but the mobile power plant can play a vital role in natural disaster relief as well. PowerShip Rendering courtesy of HHI This unique vessel is being developed following recent signature of a Memorandum of Understanding by Polaris Shipping, Korea Midland Power, Hyundai Heavy Industries (HII) and Siemens Energy Solutions.
